A cottage with peasants milking goats, to the right the Prodigal Son

In early 2024 we were able to acquire this drawing which is the preparatory drawing for our Bloemaert landscape. The drawing shows vertical and horizontal lines which were used to copy the design onto the canvas. It also shows that the painting has been cut on the right by approx. 17 cm (6.7 inches) as well as the bottom. To be able to show this Bloemaert workshop process is truly unique!
